One more idea for the quest to a million. Today I had a friend from my entrepreneurship class ask me if I've heard of a company called 12daily that pays out 12% interest a day on money you have deposited with them up to $6 thousand. It has to do with auto browsing. I looked into it and found that really it's 3.66% per day but that still adds up to over 100% a month. I've learned that sometimes things that sound too good to be true are, but sometimes there really are fantastic opportunities out there. I'll try it, see what happens, and report back here (If you're too impatient to wait for me and want to look into it yourself, just follow the link on the right side called "Make money surfing the web").
We have an appraiser coming over Monday to do an appraisal on our current home. It could be a stretch because we are asking (and got an offer and lots of other interest) the very high end of the market on this one. If it works out we will be selling the house we're in and getting a check for around $25k. We'll use part of that in the purchase of a short sale we are working on and the rest put into the bank for the race to a million. (Did you know that a regular savings account with Emmigrant Direct---an online bank at www.emigrantdirect.com---offers 4% a year without any fees or minimums? It's not going to make you a million in interest overnight but it's a lot better than 0.4% that Wells Fargo offers! It's where we usually put our money while we're looking for the next good deal. We also like to keep a good "cushion" there.)
Anyway, I am supposed to be in international marketing class in a minute but I have zero desire to go. As soon as I am done here I will head out.
I need to update this for the last five years, and add some pictures. But wow, where do I begin? I'll try to rack my brain to joggle out the most salient points from the journey. Check back tomorrow to see what I've found!
